The bus was overcrowded and none of the kids would let me sit next to them. The bus driver finally gave me an assigned seat in the front because it took so long every time I got on the bus and he couldn't drive until I was seated. I think that put me over the embarrassment edge.<br /><br />When my ACL tore in gym class one day, I was so grateful because my mom drove me to school until I was off crutches. It's still torn and I'm already getting arthritis in the knee. Still totally worth it, getting driven to school for those few weeks- that's how bad it was! <br /><br />Meg, from what you've told me, I'm shocked that you never attempted suicide or developed an eating disorder.
